In my psychotherapy practice, I provide individual, couples and family counseling around everyday anxiety, depression, life transitions and interpersonal dynamics. In addition to general mental health and wellness, I specialize in counseling patients and families who are confronting serious illness and/or bereavement. I have personal and clinical experience with LGBT-specific concerns, as well as with adoption. I enjoy working with clients across the age spectrum.
In my palliative care consultation practice, I provide counseling to individuals, couples and families confronting serious illness. This typically includes emotional adjustment to illness, voicing hopes and fears for the future, clarifying patient and family goals of care, and addressing practical aspects of advance care planning, health care planning, and preparing for end of life. Prior to starting my private practice, I worked as part of several interdisciplinary palliative care teams in the hospital, skilled nursing and home settings in Boston and New York City. I am happy to see clients in my office practice, at home or in other community settings.
I am currently accepting new clients in both my psychotherapy and consultation practices. I am an in-network provider with Blue Cross/Blue Shield. I also welcome private payment and out-of-network benefits. I’d encourage you to look into your out-of-network mental health benefits as, once you’ve reached your deductible, the per-session copayments are typically only slightly higher than in-network. For in-home visits, all fees are out-of-pocket as I am unable to bill insurance for these services, and do not include travel fees.
